Beyond Suffrage: 2021 Impact Report

In 2019 we launched our Beyond Suffrage campaign, the aim of which was to increase the representation of women aged between 18-30 serving as trustees on charity boards.  Alongside our campaigning efforts, a trustee training programme was developed to support our first cohort of trainees – a group of twelve women from Black, Asian and minoritised ethnic backgrounds based in London.

Over a period of 12 weeks, the inaugural London 2020 cohort received training to support them to become trustees on charity boards. Our dedicated workshops introduced participants to the principles of charity governance and finance. In addition to this, action learning days were delivered in person, to help provide participants with insights into trusteeship. These action learning days included panel sessions featuring existing and former trustees.

Our 2021 impact report, charting our activities over the past year is now available. Download a copy below.
