About the event

Having good governance systems will help to strengthen the board, as well as the charity as a whole. Applying and adopting the Charity Commission’s guidance; the Charity Governance Code and the SORP requirements for the preparation of Trustees’ Annual Reports will help ensure that the charity establishes good governance systems. 

During this training session, you will learn more about:

  • The requirements for trustees serving on boards, set out in the Essential Trustee (CC3)
  • The Charity Governance code and how its application can help to ensure good governance that strengthens your board
  • How your charity can be more accountable to stakeholders, including communities, by preparing trustees annual reports that are transparent

The session will run for a duration of 1 hour and will be delivered online via Zoom. This training is suitable for first time trustees as well as long serving trustees looking to refresh their knowledge of good practice in charity governance.
