The right to a seat at the table

Our 6-week training programme offers hands-on Charity Governance and Finance training; resources; and, leadership development support, to cohorts of young Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic women.  Upon completion of the programme, we leverage our networks to assist Beyond Suffrage programme participants to secure board placements.

As part of the Beyond Suffrage programme, each cohort participates in action learning days, during which they have the opportunity to  connect with each other, learn from leaders in the charity sector and collectively work towards securing trusteeships.

Our programmes are current closed to applicants. Prospective charity partners, please get in touch by completing the Expressions of Interest form below, to explore recruiting  graduates from our programme.

Congratulations to our inaugural cohort

We had the privilege of working with a remarkable group of young women, who were part of the inaugural London 2020 Main Programme.

Our participants have now become our first members of the Beyond Suffrage Alumni Network. Through the Alumni Network, we willl provide further training and support, to help our young trustees to flourish in their roles.

Looking ahead: Our 2020-21 Programmes

Our inaugural programme was developed following consultation with 144 young women across London and the South East  This helped us  to understand our community's needs and informed our initial programme design.

The main programme was closed for 3-months enabling us to conduct further online interviews and focus groups. This allowed us  to evaluate opportunities for Nationwide programme alignment in light of all we’ve learned so far, before welcoming a new cohort

We are pleased to share that the Beyond Suffrage Programme is now open again. This time, we will be  running three digital Nationwide programmes.

Further details about how to apply to take part in our programmes are included below.

The [Beyond Suffrage] opportunity was sent to me by a friend in a WhatsApp group,  prior to that I had never even  considered being a trustee on a charity board.
